🧐 If I want to subscribe to the RSS feed... in my Podcast app (Overcast)... how would that work? Do you still need to re-add your podcast to some sort of podcast directory? Or is there some sort of Urbit Podcast app?

There are a few really cool things promised to arrive in Urbit soonish. Things like Ares, Shrubbery, Nockchain, other blockchain things, and extensible chat bots for the %groups app here. However, I’m probably most excited about a small tool that will let Urbit frontends be reimagined in a retro and very cool way. In my excitement I pulled together a bunch of inspiring links from the history of user interfaces. Then I decided writing up something longform would be appropriate to explain myself.A lot of frontend effort is going into making Urbit apps familiar and comfortable compared to the big tech standards. I’m not convinced that’s the best move right now. Feel free to leave lengthy comments over at the notebook.

this all seems to be working right. ;)

I don’t want to clutter up the chat, but I do need to double check it’s working after a change. so how about I explain where I am now?

colorado! there is about 1.3k more miles to get to subassembly. my friend has a place he’s graciously letting me crash at. tomorrow will be another big driving as I try to get a good distance into either utah or wyoming.

nord bird: continuing this story as a comet for testing.

back to camping, until I can make it all the way to subassembly. so far I only really camped in souther new mexico. it was a good spot.

the last two nights I camped at the Idaho Wyoming border. today's travel will hopefully get me to Spokane Washington or somewhere around there.

it's starting to get cold and rainy, especially as I go up north. this is generally a good thing, because there have been a lot of fires in many of the places I want to camp.

usually I setup a hammock but I'll probably just sleep in the car tonight.
